Giza Pyramids |
If you have not been to the Giza pyramid, you have not been to Egypt.
What is the pyramid? the word "pyramid is a Greek word given to the triangular piece of bread. However the pyramid is known as a tomb. It is really a place for a royal burial, however was never referred to as a tomb but rather the house of eternity. We can say building a pyramid was the national project of the country at that time as every village in Egypt would compete to send its quota of the workers. the pay roll of the king consisted of bread, beer and cloth as there was no coinage in ancient Egypt. lots of other stories are waiting to be told.

no picture could make justice to the reality. but may be this picture answers the wonder of the tourist when they ask how they could see the big pyramid in the model?! The answer is It impossible. But what they see is the middle pyramid, which is built on higher plateau giving you the impression it is higher.

every photographer pictures the pyramids from the desert. I thought about picturing them from the fields. not many people would imagine them seen across the fields!

The Great Pyramid
Considered to be one of 2 world wonders of the world that Egypt had.
Built by Khufu (2700).
it is said that man fears from time but time fears from the pyramid. Regarded
to be the largest in Egypt and the world.137 m. (411feet) high. 2, 6
to 3million blocks of stone. 2,5 -15 tons each. This number is enough to build an enclosure around
France, 3m high, and
2m wide.

The
2nd pyramid
Belongs to KHA-F-RAE. 4th dynasty (2600B.C). It is not less grater than the great pyramid. It is only 3m. Smaller than the great one. Still toped with the original lime stone casing. in 1818 Belzoni found mummified leg. it was believed to be part of the king's mummy. but actually it was an ox thy. part of the offerings burials.
The 3rd pyramid
Belongs
to the grand son: king (Min-Kaw-Rae 2600B.C). It is almost half size. The king could have
sacrificed the big size of his pyramid to be able to finish with Aswan granite (1000km
south) during his lifetime. But it seems that the poor king died half way!!
