Ramsses
colossus
No
other Egyptian king gained such a reputation like king Ramsses 2nd.where ever
you go you run into his name.
His
statues were always colossus in size. This one was 20 m including the missing part of the
pedestal. As it is limestone, it weighs only 9 tones.
The
people used to see the front of the statue that was lying on its from a pit till 1953.
The
alabaster sphinx
It is the second biggest one in Egypt. No royal cartouches have been found on this sphinx. So whose sphinx is that? Will solve the puzzle together over there.
